What Makes Grove Bags Different
At the core of every Grove Bag is TerpLoc®, a multi-layer film designed specifically for curing and long-term storage. Once sealed, the bag naturally regulates internal conditions by releasing excess moisture and oxygen while maintaining the ideal relative humidity range.
Grove Bags maintain an internal humidity level between 58 percent and 62 percent RH, which is widely recognised as the optimal range for preserving aroma, flavour, texture, and visual quality.
Mould Prevention and Moisture Control
Mould risk is highest when product is improperly dried or stored in unstable environments. Grove Bags feature active humidity control that allows moisture to move in and out of the bag as needed, keeping levels balanced at all times.
This ongoing regulation not only helps prevent mould growth but also allows product to be placed into Grove Bags sooner than traditional storage methods, reducing handling and improving consistency during the curing phase.
Oxygen and Humidity Regulation
TerpLoc® technology works by limiting oxygen exposure while managing excess water vapour. By reducing oxygen levels, the natural respiration process slows down, helping preserve potency and preventing degradation over time.
At the same time, excess moisture is released, protecting against mould and maintaining product integrity during both curing and long-term storage.
UV and Static Protection
